Membership Requirements

National Honor Society Membership Requirements

California Scholarship Federation Membership Requirements

NHS Membership is based on each semester's grades from grades 9-12. Students must earn at least a 3.5 GPA, carry 25 or more semester units, fulfill the 2 hour community service requirement and pay the $5 dues. Any semester citizenship grade of "U" disqualifies a student from membership.
CSF Membership is based on scholarship and is gained after qualifying grades are earned each semester in grades 10-12. In order to become a member, the student must submit an application each semester the student is eligible and pay the $5 dues.

A point system specified in the CSF State By-Laws establishes the membership requirements. To secure eligibility for CSF membership, a student must earn sufficient points from pre-approved course lists. The majority of the required membership points must come from University of California accepted course work. Any semester grade of "U" or "N" disqualifies a student from CSF.
