Community Service Hours for Graduation

In Santa Barbara Unified, our local graduation requirements include the completion of 60 hours of community service hours (BP 6146.1). 
In addition to the academic requirements for graduation, students are required to complete either 60 hours of community service, targeted toward potential career pathways when possible, or 60 hours of an unpaid, non-credit-earning internship. Completed community service forms can be turned in to the college and career center.

Community Service Deadlines for 25/26 School Year
  • May 18th (Seniors): Community service hours towards the community service award. 
  • May 29th (Seniors): All community service hours towards graduation requirement.
  • June 3rd: (Grades 9-11): All community service hours to be processed for the academic year.​​

Community Service Award
Requires a completion of a minimum of 200 hours of community service.

Accessing Student Community Service Hours in AeriesPlease follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your Aeries Account
  2. On the left-hand side of the screen, click on "Student Data"
  3. Scroll down and select "Activities and Awards"
