College & Career Planning

The counselors assist students by providing information and guidance pertaining to college admissions, college entrance requirements, testing, scholarships, financial aid and the completion of college applications. Career planning for all students is emphasized through​ counseling presentations and through Xello surveys and lessons.

The counselors assist students and their families with high school educational planning and programming to ensure that students have an appropriate secondary education and graduate from DPHS in a timely manner. In addition counselors helps students in selecting coursework that supports their post-secondary choices, educational and vocational.

Social/Emotional

The counselors assist students by providing support and guidance to improve school performance. Counselors are available on a daily basis to discuss personal concerns with students. Our goal is for all students to have multiple trusted adults on campus.

Mission Statement

The mission of the school counseling program at Dos Pueblos High School is to equitably provide developmental and systemic support to every student in order to meet their academic, career, and personal/social goals.

In collaboration with the faculty, administrators, staff, parents, and the community, we empower our students so they may achieve their goals, become lifelong learners, and develop into responsible, contributing members of our global society.
